Research highlights the need for better data to understand gaps in service provision for human trafficking (HT) survivors. HT victims’ needs are typically complex; current means to understand these needs are often siloed and stagnant due to a lack of standardized data collection, causing victim needs to go unmet. To address this, the USF TIP Lab launched the BRIGHT Project. BRIGHT is a secure online resource referral network of services for HT survivors and through usage, simultaneously creates a long-term, dynamic database. BRIGHT data can demonstrate victims’ needs versus available services over time, offering valuable insights into geographic and demographic disparities. This paper presents preliminary findings on service gaps and for whom these gaps exist. Implications of these findings will be discussed, including how BRIGHT’s data can enhance the understanding of HT victim services, inform more effective support strategies, and promote the development of a standardized, comprehensive service network.
