Serving as DPCC Chair for three consecutive terms (2010, 2011, and 2012), Hillary Potter will discuss the division’s efforts to sustain its momentum and visibility during a pivotal time. Her presentation will focus on the internal and external shifts experienced by the division—ranging from changes in ASC leadership to growing national conversations about race, crime, and justice. Potter will highlight how the DPCC responded to calls for greater inclusivity, expanded its reach, and remained committed to amplifying the voices and work of scholars of color. Her reflections will underscore the significance of institutional resilience, community building, and visibility within the broader ASC structure.
