Thrive is a curriculum and technical assistance initiative developed by College and Community Fellowship (CCF) to guide institutions of higher learning in effectively supporting women impacted by the legal system. Grounded in over two decades of experience, CCF has designed this program to help colleges and universities create welcoming, trauma-informed, and equity-centered environments for justice-impacted students. Strive and Thrive offers a roadmap for institutions to examine and improve their policies, practices, and campus cultures by addressing common barriers—such as stigma, lack of institutional knowledge, and limited access to wraparound support. Drawing from qualitative data, member input, and national best practices, the curriculum provides concrete strategies to foster inclusion, increase retention, and promote academic and professional achievement. Through workshops, consultations, and resource development, CCF equips faculty, staff, and administrators with the tools they need to become effective allies and advocates. This presentation will highlight the curriculum's key components, share early outcomes from pilot efforts, and emphasize the broader importance of institutional accountability in the educational success of formerly incarcerated women.
