Studies on multicultural criminal justice issues generally focus on the ‘known narratives’ while omitting the experience of the people of African descent, resulting in misrepresentation and discriminative treatment of this group. Using the search lights of Shaw and McKay’ social disorganization theory and Frantz Fanon revolutionary decolonization perspectives this study search through the lens of multicultural methods and historical qualitative analysis to investigate the relationship between the people of African descent and the criminal justice system. The study aims to identify the key issues arising from the intersection between the people of African descent and the criminal system. The study advocates the adoption of multicultural criminal justice practices and procedures to create a more inclusive and equitable system.
