Street culture and extremism in the hybrid space Extremist groups, whether right-wing extremists or Islamists, use urban neighborhoods both for their agitation and as a stage. In the process, the contrast between analog and digital space is increasingly blurred, creating a hybrid space in which codes of street culture are inscribed and taken up and developed both digitally and analogously. The contribution summarizes findings from Germany and discusses theses on the hybrid space in relation to street culture and extremism.
