Unlock a new perspective on interrogation research. The substantial body of existing interrogation research often analyzes various methods of interrogation research, techniques used, and primarily looks to quantify available data. Discursive psychology offers a path to strengthening existing literature while examining the ways in which psychological concepts such as emotions, attitudes and identities are constructed and managed within the interrogation. As produced in a present study, discursive devices may be used to further understand offender constructions of accountability. Discursive devices can also be a methodological tool for criminologists especially when naturally occurring data is more difficult to acquire.
