Social media is a vehicle for promoting, policing, critiquing, and reimagining how and why we engage in social justice. This change can serve as a tool for educators in criminology and criminal justice programs, undergraduate and graduate. As educators, we see the value of social media in the classroom by engaging students in case study analysis, monitoring crime and delinquency conducted in the online space, and exposing them to professional platforms, such as LinkedIn, for networking purposes. This roundtable is a diverse, equitable, and inclusive space for criminal justice professionals and educators to share their experiences utilizing social media in the classroom and the impact it has on their students' learning, mentorship, careers, and activism.
