Over the past year, the DCS Mentoring for Success committee redesigned its program materials to better support mentors and mentees across four distinct tracks. The committee identified several potential areas for improvement based on surveys and communication with mentors and mentees about program expectations. During this roundtable we will discuss the tools developed to help mentoring pairs clarify expectations, plan regular check-ins, and tailor their experience to different career stages—from students to faculty to early-career alt-ac professionals. The improved materials provide tangible examples like topic guides and meeting templates, while the visual design supports engagement and ease of use. We will also reflect on how evolving needs shaped the redesign and how these updates are helping to foster more intentional, sustained mentoring relationships.
