Abstract

Dr. Thomas-Davis brings to the discussion her experience as a scholar navigating academia from the often-undervalued perspective of community college faculty. She addresses challenges of finding recognition and legitimacy within criminology, the broader implications of intersectional invisibility, and the necessity of intentionally affirming Black women scholars across all institutional types to ensure academic justice and equity.
