Police violence has been recognized as a social and public health issue. Historically speaking, individuals of marginalized communities, particularly Black/African American men, have been negatively impacted by this issue. While research on police violence has increased over the years, research focusing on women have been limited. Using a national public dataset, this project aims to highlight cases of women killed by police officers in the US. Descriptive data shows characteristics of women killed between 2013-2024. Results reveal correlations between racial/ethnic, weapon used in death, age, and geographic location.
