The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) has invested substantially in research on innovative institutional correction technological projects. This panel will provide in-depth information on these projects. First, NIJ staff will describe the research. Second, researchers from CNA Corporation will discuss their project evaluating body-worn cameras in the Loudoun County, Virginia Adult Detention Center. Third, researchers from the University of Michigan will present findings from a project evaluating virtual reality job training in prisons. Finally, researchers from RTI will review a project on tablet-based reentry services. All presenters will discuss modalities, impacts, successes, and challenges.
