The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) is the principal federal agency for justice statistics in the US. Established in 1979, its primary mission is to collect, analyze, publish, and disseminate information on crime, criminal offenders, and victims of crime. This panel will review several past, present, and future BJS projects. Discussion on survey methodology, data collection efforts, and preliminary findings will be discussed.
