Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel
This panel explores how healthcare systems, community partnerships, and regional socioeconomic factors intersect to address violence in the community. The studies examine the socioeconomic factors driving gun violence, the effectiveness of hospitals as Victim Service Providers (VSPs) in Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Programs (HVIPs), and the role of Coordinated Community Responses (CCRs) in violence intervention. Employing hierarchical regression modeling, machine learning, geospatial analysis, and qualitative ethnographic methods, the findings emphasize the need for data-driven, coordinated strategies to enhance violence intervention efforts.
