Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel
With funding from the National Institute of Justice, the CNA Corporation (CNA) is conducting a study on the impact of body-worn cameras (BWCs) in five Minnesota Department of Corrections (MnDOC) prison facilities. In 2024, baseline surveys were administered to MnDOC security and non-security staff, as well as incarcerated individuals. This panel will present findings from those surveys, exploring differences in wellness domains across respondent groups, resident perceptions of procedural justice and legitimacy in their interactions with correctional officers, and key factors related to staff stress and job burnout.
