Abstract/Description

This panel presents emerging research within the subfield of Convict Criminology. Authors will present historical, theoretical, and activist analyses of punishment. Topics explored include the use of prisons as punishment, the dichotomy between 'carceral' and 'conventional' citizens, and an exploration of how incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals contribute to the ongoing fight for liberation in the United States.
