Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel
The objective of this session will be to discuss the developing and testing of an ecosystem approach to understand community violence prevention and intervention in Boston. The panelists will 1) review the purpose and methods of the research and results from Phase 1 of the study, 2) provide a practical "workshop" on how Boston Medical Center collects and organizes data that is essential to a systems investigation of community violence, and 3) preview the draft ecosystems framework that will be tested in Phase 2 of the study. Session participants will be engaged to discuss implications and applications from the research.
