Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel
This panel will highlight articles published in a special issue by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) titled, Evidence to Action, featuring research by members of the NIJ’s Law Enforcement Advancing Data and Science (LEADS) Scholars Program. The presenters will discuss how they have integrated research into policies and practices within each of their agencies. While research is a valuable tool for police agencies, there are numerous challenges with implementing evidence-based policing in police agencies. Therefore, this panel will discuss these challenges and offer future recommendations for scholars focused on integrating research into policing policies and practice.
