Session Submission Type: Roundtable Sessions
Scholars of terrorism and extremism from different stages of their career discuss navigating their scholarly agendas in the current funding and political environment. We will discuss preserving scientific integrity and academic freedom while studying sensitive topics, such as how political rhetoric leads to harmful outcomes. We will also discuss ways to fund academic research and keep research centers active when funding sources have been cut.
