Cybercrime remains a persistent and growing global threat, prompting the unanimous adoption of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime. The Convention(Article 55) highlights the importance of developing and sharing cybercrime statistics, analytical expertise, and information to establish common definitions, standards, and methodologies. This roundtable will share insights from recent expert discussions in the Republic of Korea on potential approaches to cybercrime measurement, including proposed categories and indicators. The session aims to offer practical insights for Member States working to enhance cybercrime data collection and analysis capabilities.
