Session Submission Type: Roundtable Sessions
In times marked by deepening inequality, political unrest, and systemic violence, the need for justice rooted in care, community, and transformation grows more urgent. Envisioned as a collaborative space for open dialogue and mutual learning, this session invites participants to grapple with the tensions, possibilities, and contradictions of praxis in pursuit of a more just and inclusive world. Participants will share experiences and strategies from their respective sites of engagement, exploring how transformative and restorative approaches can cultivate healing and liberation across different spheres of life. Attendees are encouraged to join a dynamic conversation about how justice is being pursued in classrooms, communities, movements, and institutions — and how our collective efforts might be deepened and reimagined. Together, we will reflect on the lived dimensions of justice work — how it is imagined, taught, practiced, and sustained by scholar-activists, educators, practitioners, and artists committed to enacting justice beyond institutional constraints and punitive frameworks.
