The Women in Orange dataset included 50-plus virtual qualitative interviews conducted with women incarcerated in one multi-security women's facility. Papers discussed in this roundtable cover topics related to the disparities between expectations and realities of prison life, the concept of collective efficacy on and between prison yards, how interviewees described expressing gender in a regimented carceral space, and methodological considerations for obtaining approval and logistics for this kind of research.
