Abstract

Using RT, Sputnik and other sources, the Kremlin seeks to reach out to a global audience to promote its message. This paper analyzes the strategy behind the Kremlin's approach and the impact that it has on the global audience using data from Youtube downloads and Google search terms. It seeks to explain where the effort is effective and where it falls short.
