The negative turn in Russia-EU relations that is witnessed since 2014 has led to the destruction of previous status-quo in mutual relations. However, since the two parties are “doomed” to interactions, as the degree of interdependence is high, new need and significance of the new agenda is recognized both by Russia and the EU. My paper seeks to analyze the underlying reasons for new agenda-setting, the stake-holders that lobby new agendas in Russia and the Union, as well as compatibility of the two agendas with regard for the perspectives of achieving new status-quo in Russia-EU relations.
