Digital Scholarship at the Library of Congress

Abstract

The Library of Congress has not had a digital scholarship office; the status of discussions to expand the Library’s capabilities in this area will be reported, along with a look at one or two of the collections that have been used already in this regard, e.g., the “Chronicling America” project to digitize American newspapers from 1789 (and earlier) up to 1924.
