Brief Description

The proposed roundtable explores hybridity in Russian and Ukrainian history and culture and suggests new ways of understanding the mixing and unmixing of cultural canons and human collectivities. This theme has immediate implications for understanding the dynamics of imperial state and society across the 1917 divide and the post-Soviet political and cultural dynamics.
