Abstract

Albert Szent-Györgyi was a non-communist Nobel laureate scientist worked together actively with the Soviets to rebuild the Hungarian cultural life. As he became dissatisfied with the political changes, he emigrated to the United States in 1947.
Since the mid-1960s he turned to the politics again, he spoke out against the Vietnam War.
