Abstract

The presentation will delve into the significant periods of transformation experienced by the Slavonic Library within the National Library of Finland. Throughout the 1870s, 1920s, 1990s, and 2020s, notable changes have occurred in the library's collection policy, services, and organizational positioning. This analysis aims to uncover the mechanisms through which the Slavonic Library has navigated and thrived amidst these shifts. By examining its resilience, we can identify the strengths upon which the library continues to depend, even in the present day.
