Abstract

Here Professor Anisimova seeks to explain how early Red Army leadership studied World War. After identifying who was involed, this paper will reveal what sources were used and what limits its authors confronted when they wrote their seven volume strategic study of the war which is as close as we get to having a Russian official history of World War I.
