Sat, November 23, 10:00 to 11:45am EST (10:00 to 11:45am EST), Boston Marriott Copley Place, Floor: 3rd Floor, Tufts

Abstract

The paper examines the principles of modelling the topos of war in the works of F. Gorenstein. For this purpose, three main aspects are highlighted:
1)the depiction of the actual events of war, presented from two perspectives (evacuation and living in occupied territory); 2)the reminiscence of wartime events, narration about experiences and observations (specifically conveying the theme of the Holocaust), 3)the consequences of the war, the post-war period (represented most frequently).
