Abstract

This paper analyzes similarities and differences in the possibilities of resistance against two Soviet leaders who faced direct opposition in the top Soviet leadership, and the question of the contribution of this analysis to the assessment of similar debates given the power position of Vladimir Putin in contemporary Russia.
