The paper highlights the interconnected nature of Soviet print media of the interwar time by focusing on select examples of remediation, i.e., migration of photography and photomontage across diverse media. Among core examples is the transformation of cartoons into postcards (Klinch) and design techniques that characterize magazines in children’s books and propaganda publications. The result documents the nature of photomontage as a technique in motion.
