Fri, November 22, 8:00 to 9:45am EST (8:00 to 9:45am EST), Boston Marriott Copley Place, Floor: 5th Floor, Massachusetts

Abstract

Georgian-South Ossetian interactive peacemaking has engaged across the ceasefire line since the early 1990s eruption of violence in the Georgian-South Ossetian relationship. Over different phases of the conflict, unofficial cross-conflict dialogue has taken a different focus and made different contributions. This paper overviews the decades of interactive peacemaking and presents a range of ways that unofficial dialogue can make a difference in the changing contexts over time
