Civic Education and Cross-Cultural Exchange: The 'Civic Embers' Approach

Abstract

This research explores the impact of the "Civic Embers" pilot program on youth civic engagement in Ukraine, employing a mixed-methods approach. The program aims to empower young people through civic education, utilizing online learning modules, in-person seminars, virtual cross-cultural exchanges, and post-program activities. The findings reveal significant positive changes in participants' understanding of democratic ideals, attitudes towards community development, and intentions to engage in future civic activities.
