Russia’s All Out War Changes Social Media Usage in Ukraine

Abstract

This paper looks at how information circulation is changing in Ukraine as a result of escalated war and what role is social media playing in this. Is this a social media war? Two trends will be explored, increase in social media use and media convergence, drawing on research conducted in Kyiv in summer 2023 and hopefully also in 2024.
