Informal Sector and Corruption in Bulgaria

Abstract

We investigate the economic and political causes of informality and corruption in Bulgaria since its transition to the market economy. We wish to capture its dynamics and their relationship to several domestic and international factors by way of an empirical analysis. We will also shed light on its potential damaging impact on FDI, capital investment and economic growth.
