Abstract

This paper elucidates the pivotal yet frequently disregarded contributions of women in STEM fields, with a particular emphasis on those engaged in space-related professions across the Russian Empire, the USSR, and subsequently in contemporary Russia. Despite encountering significant gender biases, female scientists, engineers, and other professionals in STEM fields have made pivotal advances in their respective disciplines.
Through an examination of historical records, case studies, and interviews, this study illuminates the challenges these women have faced and their strategies for navigating systemic obstacles. By elucidating their remarkable achievements and proposing strategies for enhanced recognition, this paper aims to ensure that their invaluable contributions are duly acknowledged and celebrated within the scientific community and among the general public.
