A Remedy for The West: Russia's Plan in Africa

Abstract

In the midst of Kremlin's aggression towards the former Soviet Union, the GRU has expanded Russian logistical interests back towards its past USSR partners, especially the nations of Africa. Despite Russia paling in comparison to the other nations invested in Africa, Russia's military intelligence has allowed for the nation to utilize it's relationships within the continent in order to weaken Western influence in the global south whilst mitigating the impact of Western sanction on the Russian war machine.
