This is a book discussion roundtable of Maria Popova's and Oxana Shevel’s (2024) “Russia and Ukraine: Entangled Histories, Diverging States,” John Wiley and Sons Ltd. The discussion will feature both book authors responding to the commentary by scholars from various academic disciplines such as International Relations, Political Science, and History. Since the session is centered on participants’ reactions to a published book, as well as the book authors’ responses, a roundtable discussion would seem a more fitting format than a presentation of papers on a panel.
