Brief Description

This roundtable focuses on innovative approaches that explore the transformative power of music in courses for various student populations. Among the topics to be discussed by the presenters are the incorporation of music—from rock to Cheburashka songs—into course design (with examples of methodology, activities, and themes); teaching politics, culture, history, and national identity through music; integrating music into Russian-language courses to engage students at various proficiency levels; using music as core content in courses for students with limited prior exposure to Eastern Europe; and sharing best practices in teaching music-related content to undergraduate students in US institutions of higher education.
