A Tale of Two Militaries: Russia’s and Ukraine’s Military Cultures after Two Years of the Full-Scale War

Brief Description

This session will focus on how the Russian and Ukrainian militaries have changed as a result of the large-scale war Russia launched against Ukraine in 2022. Roundtable discussion participants will discuss Ukraine’s performance against the Russian Navy in the Black Sea; the changing nature of civil-military relationships in Ukraine; the role of Russian intelligence services in the prosecution of the war; as well as Russia’s evolving nuclear doctrine and its implications.
