Session Submission Type: Panel
Affiliate Organization: Working Group on Philosophy and Intellectual History
The panel will address a range of questions in philosophy of literature, from the uses of philosophical discourse by literary artists, to the ontological interplay between philosophical and literary speech, to the intrinsic coherence of a literary work. In all cases, the philosophical argument is intimately associated with works of literature and their analysis. Our hope is to illuminate the mutual distinctiveness and reciprocal bond between literature and philosophy.
