The current geopolitical events and fast-pacing development of modern Russian-speaking language communities call for continuous curriculum and teaching methodology growth. The authors will discuss a wide geographical and cultural approach to curriculum development which fosters a deeper understanding of diverse Russian-speaking communities among students and prepares them for successful careers in a multicultural environment. The approach includes broader representation of the regions and content, e.g., from Central Asia to Baltic states, from literature to business. A variety of teaching formats will be presented, ranging from standard to content-based language courses, as well as a variety of genres in teaching materials.
