Session Submission Type: Roundtable
Nikolai Berdiaev has long been due a reassessment of his life and philosophy, and his 150th provides a perfect occasion for this reconsideration. This roundtable will consider two new editions of his correspondence and the discoveries made in the Berdiaev Museum in Clamart, France. These new sources place Berdiaev in a new light -- as a philosopher of freedom and human rights with a global reach. He is the perfect philosopher to reconsider given the ASEEES theme of liberation.
