Brief Description

During the Soviet era, especially under Joseph Stalin, Kremlin rulers promoted a jaundiced view of Ukrainian nationalism. Soviet tropes have come back to prominence in Moscow over the past decade under Vladimir Putin. This panel will focus on how the Soviet legacy has influenced the Putin administration's approach to Ukraine
