Women acting within networks in German-occupied Lublin, Poland, collected and distributed food and medicine for victims of Nazi persecution, smuggled messages from prisoners in camps, supplied contraband to aid escapes from deportations, and negotiated with German officials. This paper will zoom in on some of those women and examine who they were and how their efforts illuminate the types and goals of resistance during World War II.
