This paper proposes a theoretical approach to understanding the overlaps between conspiracy discourses that emerged in Russia during the 1990s–2000s—claiming that Russia, through its integration into the global neoliberal market economy, was being transformed into a resource colony of the West—and decolonial discussions on land and resource exploitation in the Global South.
