Dr. Cornelia Soldat explores six early European texts on Ivan the Terrible’s Oprichnina using a Nodegoat-based database. By subdividing these texts into smaller narrative motifs, she reveals patterns of textual reuse and interconnections between historical figures and events. This study demonstrates how visualization tools facilitate a more nuanced understanding of historical source entanglements.
