Republika Srpska (RS) leaders, along with some of their counterparts in Serbia and pro-government media and academics in the RS and Serbia over the past decade have aspired to construct a new narrative(s) regarding the 1992-1995 Bosnia war and the first decade of post-war Bosnia after the signing of the Dayton Peace Accords. The paper will examine some of these narratives, such as that the Bosnian conflict was a "civil war," that Serbs in 1992 had to mobilize because of "mujhadeen" armed forces plans to attacks Serb villages and denial that the Srebrenica massacre was genocide.
