This paper explores the inherited memories of the expulsion of Germans from Slovakia after World War II, focusing on the experiences of both expellees now residing in Germany and those who remained in Slovakia. Through oral history interviews and personal records, the study examines how intergenerational memories of displacement are shaped, maintained, and negotiated across national borders.
