Based on the written sources and personal accounts of Greek Civil War Refugees who came to Czechoslovakia in the late 1940s, mainly as unaccompanied child migrants, this paper examines how their perception of home and host country changed over time. By analyzing official narratives in early refugee periodicals and later personal testimonies, the study explores shifts in political identity, cultural adaptation, and the long-term memory of exile.
